1984 by George Orwell
How does the Party manipulate human emotions? 1984
George Orwell, in Part 2, shows us the start of the secret relationship between Winston and Julia. These are universal deceptions of appearances- the girl is not who she had seemed to be; Winston assumed her to be a devoted Party member and a spy. Why is she so important to him?
This week please keep pace with the readings and the in-class discussions. Your insight to those discussions and the timed writings will determine your success...do not be parasitic in the classroom...you owe it to your peers to contribute...take a RISK!

Hey Mr. DiLeo! You're always saying that we should leave a comment even if we only drop by the blog, but I never listen... So today, as a special treat for the last day of January Regents Week, I'm leaving a comment!
Hope you had fun during the week, what with all the exams going on, and the tests/papers you had to grade for the 2nd quarter. I'm sure teachers are the envy of the world's job holders (as my mother loves to say).
I better get back to 1984... Adios!
Yes, indeed. The paper load has dissipated (for now), grades are calculated, and my lessons are complete. Importantly, I am rejuvenated and eager to jump into Q3...More importantly, I am able to spend time with my kids (no school work), which translates into a "happy wife". See you Monday...

Hiii okay so I found a bunch of articles that are all about the government not giving the public enough privacy, but they are all from like 2003. haha So I was wondering do you want the articles to be from anytime or do you want recent ones?
